Where is my product coming from?

Your product will be shipped/delivered right from our farm in southern Ontario, Canada.

What should I expect if something I ordered is “Backordered”?

Sometimes products need to be taken from our main warehouse and be brought to our online shipping department to complete an order — this can take a day or two. Sometimes products are still in production and can take a week or so to be ready to ship. Gift boxes and gift packs are often made to order and will be assembled once your order is placed. You will be contacted if a product is expected to take longer than a week to be back in stock.

How long after I place an order for Curbside Pickup will it be ready at The Maple Sweet Shop?

For orders placed during store operating hours, your order will be ready within one hour. For orders placed after the store is closed, it will be ready the following morning when we open. You will be contacted when your order is ready for pick up.

What shipping company does White Meadows use?

For North American orders we usually use FedEx and Canada Post. For International orders we use Canada Post. If your order is shipping to a PO Box or US Military Base, your order must be shipped through Canada Post.

How can I expect my package to look?

We package our products, especially the glass syrup bottles, liberally to ensure your order arrives safe and sound. Every product is carefully wrapped in kraft paper and placed into a box. Expect to receive a much larger box than you think your order needs. We don’t take chances when it comes to shipping syrup.

What do I do if my order does arrive damaged?

This is rare, but if it does happen please photograph the condition of the box and email the images to us immediately so we can determine a course of action to amend the incident.

How long will my product take to ship?

We typically have your product packaged and on the road within 2-3 business days. On average, in Canada, shipping within Ontario takes 1-day and to British Columbia 4-days. A good way to estimate the number of days your package will be in transit is to add 1-day for every province between our location (Ontario) and your home province. However, this is Canada and the odd blizzard has been known to delay shipping. For orders to anywhere, you can track your shipping information via the account you will create with us when you place your order.

How do I lower my shipping cost?

Experiment by adding and removing products in your cart. Sometimes the price to ship two bottles of syrup can be no greater than the price to ship only one. You don’t have to commit to a larger purchase right away but you can add and remove products to see how it affects your shipping. It’s often a better value to choose plastic bottles instead of glass since they require less packaging material and are less weight overall.
