Shipping FAQ

Shipping FAQ

We’re always happy to answer your questions.

Some of the most common questions about shipping:

Where is my product shipping from?

Your product will be shipping right from our farm in southern Ontario, Canada.

How long after I place an order for Curbside Pickup will it be ready at The Maple Sweet Shop?

For orders placed during store operating hours, your order will be ready within one hour. For orders placed after the store is closed, it will be ready the following morning when we open.

What shipping company does White Meadows use?

For North American orders we use FedEx and Canada Post. For International orders we use Canada Post. If your order is shipping to a PO Box or US Military Base, your order must be shipped through Canada Post.

How can I expect my package to look?

We package our products, especially the glass syrup bottles, liberally to ensure your order arrives safe and sound. Every syrup bottle is bubble wrapped and inserted in a plastic bag with no more than the equivalent of 1L of syrup in small bottles packaged in a single nesting box. All individual nesting boxes in your order are then packaged into as few large boxes as possible. Expect to receive a much larger box than you think your order needs. We don’t take chances when it comes to shipping syrup.

What do I do if my order does arrive damaged?

This is rare, but if it does happen please photograph the condition of the box and email the images to us immediately so we can determine a course of action to amend the incident.

How long will my product take to ship?

We typically have your product packaged and on the road within 2-3 business days. On average, in Canada, shipping within Ontario takes 1-day and to British Columbia 4-days. A good way to estimate the number of days your package will be in transit is to add 1-day for every province between our location (Ontario) and your home province. However, this is Canada and the odd blizzard has been known to delay shipping. For orders to anywhere, you can track your shipping information via the account you will create with us when you place your order.

How do I lower my shipping cost?

Experiment adding additional products to your cart. Buying an individual bottle of syrup can often cost as much or more in shipping as buying two bottles of syrup, or syrup and another product. You don’t have to commit to a larger purchase right away but you can add and remove products to see how it affects your shipping.
