Maple Cranberry Fruit Sauce
The star of these pinwheels is the generous layer of Maple Cranberry Fruit Sauce, which blends pure maple syrup with tart cranberries to create a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavours. In this recipe, the sauce cuts through the richness of the turkey and brie, and complements the buttery puff pastry with its vibrant acidity. While it shines in traditional dishes, here are a few more creative ways to incorporate this versatile sauce into your kitchen creations.
- Cocktail Mixer – Check out the Merry White Meadows Punch
- Salad Dressing Base – Whisk into a vinaigrette with olive oil and vinegar
- Grilled Cheese – Spread a layer on the inside of a grilled cheese sandwich with sharp cheddar or brie
- Layered in Trifle – Add as a fruity layer in a trifle or parfait for a festive dessert

Get Creative with Puff Pastry:
If you love the idea of pinwheels and want to explore even more flavour profiles, we’ve got some inspiration for you! Using a roll of puff pastry and a few of our favourite White Meadows Farms products, you can create endless combinations:
- Maple Onion Jam – Pair with herb and garlic Boursin cheese and shaved ham for a savoury, rich bite.
- Maple Red Pepper Jelly – Spread over whipped cream cheese for a sweet and spicy twist.
- Maple BBQ Sauce – Toss with shredded chicken and layer with sliced mozzarella for a smoky, cheesy delight.
- Maple Peach Fruit Sauce – Layer with sliced prosciutto and brie for a sweet-salty balance that’s perfect for fall.

Tips for Rolling Perfect Pinwheels 🌀
- Chill the Puff Pastry: Cold puff pastry is much easier to work with. Make sure it’s chilled but pliable when you roll it out.
- Spread Evenly: Make sure your fillings are evenly spread to avoid uneven cooking or messy rolls. You want every bite to have a bit of everything!
- Roll Tight but Not Too Tight: A snug roll ensures the filling stays in place, but don’t roll it so tightly that the puff pastry breaks or the filling spills out.
- Use Egg Wash: Brushing the tops with egg wash gives the pinwheels a beautiful golden finish, making them look bakery-perfect.
Wrap Up Your Thanksgiving Feast with Flavour
If you’re looking to add something festive yet simple to your Thanksgiving menu, these Turkey and Brie Pinwheels with Maple Cranberry Fruit Sauce will hit the spot. Not only are they easy to prepare, but they offer a gourmet touch that will impress your guests without the stress. Whether you’re hosting a gathering or attending one, these pinwheels are the perfect way to keep those Thanksgiving flavours going all weekend long.

- ½ Cup White Meadows Farms Maple Cranberry Fruit Sauce
- 1 Egg (For Egg Wash)
- Salt And Pepper, To Taste
Method:
Step 1: Cook the Ground Turkey
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once fully cooked, set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Assemble the Pinwheels
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (roughly 10×12 inches).
- Spread a thin layer of the maple cranberry sauce over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Arrange slices of brie cheese evenly over the cranberry sauce
- Sprinkle the cooked ground turkey evenly on top of the brie
Step 3: Roll and Slice the Pinwheels
- Starting from one of the long edges, gently roll the puff pastry into a log, keeping the filling inside.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 12 even pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4: Egg Wash and Bake
- In a small bowl, beat the egg with a splash of water to create an egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the egg wash.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
