We often focus our blog posts on sweet treats with maple syrup (of course), so we thought a savoury recipe would mix things up a bit this month. There are so many combinations of pantry staples that can be blended together to make a unique salad dressing with maple syrup. Try experimenting with apple cider vinegar, citrus, different herbs and spices and fine pressed oils. Today we’re putting together a simple, easy salad dressing that combines balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard and maple syrup.

The Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Dark Maple Syrup
- 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- Freshly Cracked Pepper, to taste
Directions
- Measure all ingredients into a bowl or jar with a lid
- Whisk or shake well until fully incorporated (use a hand held blender or electric whisk for an even smoother consistency)
- Pour over salad and toss well
- Store excess in refrigerator for up to 1 week
